Erica Manzoli is a singer, songwriter and musician. Aged 23 and hailing from South East London, Erica attended the renowned BRIT School from the age of 14, whose alumni includes music icons Adele and Amy Winehouse. After teaching herself to play piano, she began writing lyrics, graduated from BRIT, and travelled across Europe collaborating with an abundance of notable songwriters and producers and sharing her music with her fast-growing legion of social media devotees. When the pandemic forced the world to retreat inside, she stripped it back to basics and refined her process to ensure each step was intentional – building songs from the melody upwards before interlacing carefully carved and purposeful lyrics to ensure no syllable or note is a throwaway.
Erica’s debut EP, 2022’s ‘I’m Okay, I Promise’ was enthusiastically received with strong Spotify and Apple Music playlist support including New Music Friday, New Music Daily, Fresh Finds, New Pop, In My Room and Life Sucks. Press support came from The Line of Best Fit, Notion and Wonderland, who drew flattering comparisons with Olivia Rodrigo and Billie Eilish.
Following singles built on this momentum, with enthusiastic support from Abbie McCarthy (BBC Introducing, Kent), Matt Edmondson and Molly King and Maia Beth (Future Pop, BBC Radio 1), Jo Wiley (BBC Radio 2), as well as ‘Body Double’ being picked as ‘BBC Radio 1 Introducing’s Tune of The Week.’
Erica also collaborated with breakthrough Irish singer/songwriter, Cian DuCrot, lending backing vocals to his 200+ million streaming smash, ‘I’ll Be Waiting’, before picking up Best New Artist at the YoLanda Drake awards.
Following up her summer single ‘Bunny’, Erica has more music coming before the year is out, and 2025 will see the release of her second EP.
